Klay Thompson Is Living His Best Life On The Ocean At The End Of 2022 Offseason

Klay Thompson is not a man that fears the seas as evidenced by him on social media enjoying his time out on the ocean on his boat.

Klay Thompson absolutely loves boats. The 4-time NBA Champion attended the Warriors’ 2022 championship parade without wearing the Warriors championship cap because it blew away when Thompson was coming over on a boat. Instead, the shooter decided to wear the captain’s hat from his boat through the parade. That is a man who is not afraid to let the world know that he fancies being a boatman.

Considering the successful season the Warriors had, Thompson is having one of the best offseasons of his career. This is the first time since 2018 that Thompson has been able to go through the offseason without rehabbing an injury, spending 2019, 2020, and 2021 dealing with an ACL tear and Achilles’ tear.

As the offseason enters its final weeks, Thompson is trying to maximize his time away from the game. Where did he go to do so? The answer is obvious, as Thompson returned to his boat and shared a video on social media where he danced on the dock before taking the boat and a bunch of people into the ocean.

Klay Thompson Will Remain An Invaluable Piece For The Golden State Warriors

The 2 seasons that Klay was sidelined with injury saw the Warriors miss the playoffs. The first year saw even Stephen Curry and Draymond Green get hurt as the Warriors slumped to the worst record in the West. In 2021, the team was eliminated from the play-in tournament.

While the team around everyone also improved, Thompson’s return was massive for the Warriors. His return brought back more space for Curry to operate, who was the victim of strangling defensive schemes during the time Thompson was out. While the Warriors would be one of the best teams last season even without Klay, his veteran leadership has made him the glue guy for this Warriors squad.

As the overall team gets younger but the Curry, Thompson, and Green trio gets older, Thompson’s calming influence over the roster will pay off in the long term.
