The NBA Finals are far from over for the Golden State Warriors. After dominating the Western Conference (with series wins over Denver, Memphis, and Dallas), the Warriors are trying to snag four more wins over Boston to win the title.

It hasn’t proved easy so far, but star guard Klay Thompson says his team is going to come out with a little bit more urgency from here on out:

“We’re gonna play with desperation tomorrow. I think that’s when we are at our best.”

Game 1 must have felt like a gut punch for the Dubs. They controlled and dominated most of the game and built several double-digit leads throughout the night. Within just a few minutes, their lead was gone, and the Cs mounted a run that blind-sighted the Warriors.

On Sunday, Golden State will have the chance to tie things up before heading to Boston, and the team has no intention of taking their competition lightly:

I know a championship-caliber team when I see one,” said Draymond Green on the Celtics. “A championship team has a guy who can go get a bucket, no matter what. They have that. They have great defenders. They have a great coach – young coach, but is showing that he can make adjustments and that he’s ready for the moment. Like, they have the pieces.

The Warriors, and Draymond especially, have loads of experience and have been in this situation before. With six Finals appearances in eight years, they know more than most what it’s like to compete at this level, with everything on the line.

Despite the outcome of Game 1, you’d be a fool to write them off in this series. Knowing what’s at stake, and how good the Celtics really are, expect Golden State to come out with some urgency on Sunday.
