LeBron James and the Golden State Warriors have had many battles over the years. In a case like this, when two sides have so much history, it’s only natural that there will be an abundance of stories to tell.

Klay Thompson, who met LeBron a total of 4 times in the NBA Finals, recently shared an experience he had with LeBron.

As he told in a sort of round-table chat, Thompson explained this one encounter when LeBron was running to catch up to him on the fast break.

“I remember one time in the Finals, I got the ball on the break and Andre was behind me, and LeBron was chasing me, said he ‘You better dunk it! You better dunk it!’ I almost killed myself.. the landing wasn’t pretty. I made sure I flushed that thing cause I wasn’t trying to see that ball go to half-court.”

Considering LeBron is one of the best chase-down, fastbreak shot-blockers in the NBA, Klay probably made the right call there. Bron has a way of defying the laws of physics when it comes to heightened stakes.

The fear that Klay felt in that moment is something he probably shares with many other stars in the league.

It’s a great story, nonetheless.
