Usually, prospects love to get drafted as soon as possible to secure their spot in the NBA. But Kentucky’s Chris Livingston apparently wanted to be drafted as the last pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
Livingston previously made headlines for canceling his seven remaining workouts after reportedly receiving a draft promise from a team. NBA insider Shams Charania reported that his agent and Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, called teams and urged them not to select his agent in the second round.
“Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul began calling teams in the second round and requested them not to take client Chris Livingston. It‘s believed Livingston has a set draft spot in the second round,” Shams tweeted.

Livingston, who is now known as ‘Mr. Irrelevant,’ was ultimately drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks using the 58th overall pick in the NBA Draft.
It is more than obvious that Paul and Livingston already knew that the Bucks would select the former Kentucky player.
Livingston averaged 6.3 PPG, 4.2 RPG, and 0.7 APG over 34 games for the Wildcats. The Akron-born forward was a consensus five-star recruit coming out of college.
Milwaukee Bucks Will Be Hungry For Success In The 2023-24 NBA Season
The Milwaukee Bucks finished the 2022-23 NBA season as the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 58-24 record. However, they were eliminated in just five games by the eighth-seeded Miami Heat during the opening round of the playoffs.
Milwaukee responded by sacking 2021 championship-winning head coach Mike Budenholzer. With Adrian Griffin taking the helm of the Bucks, the team will be looking to make a comeback in the upcoming season.
Giannis Antetokounmpo will be the key to the Bucks’ success. The Greek Freak averaged 31.1 PPG, 11.8 RPG, and 5.7 APG last season. It will also be exciting to see how Livingston fits within the new system of the team.
