  • A video of players getting scared by mascots recently resurfaced
  • Several players, including James Harden, were startled by the team mascot
  • However, in true Kobe fashion, Kobe Bryant wasn’t scared by the mascot jumping at him

Kobe Bryant was one of the most determined and focused players in NBA history. Bryant’s ‘Mamba Mentality’ has often been lauded, because Bryant was able to get into a zone where no one and nothing could stop him or throw him off his game. A mascot once tried but found no success.

A clip recently resurfaced with a compilation of NBA team mascots trying to scare NBA players. The mascots were usually successful, managing to scare players such as James Harden and Patrick Beverley. But one player who didn’t even flinch was Kobe Bryant, who just simply moved the mascot out of his way and walked past it.

Kobe Bryant was truly one of a kind, not one to be easily fazed. Even though the mascot did its best to try and scare the Lakers legend, he just walked away without a care in the world, showing how truly focused he was on the game.

Kobe Bryant’s ‘Mamba Mentality’ Is The Stuff Of Legends

Kobe Bryant is often remembered for his legendary ‘Mamba Mentality’. Kobe Bryant was a killer on the court, someone who would ruthlessly and mercilessly attack the opposition and do whatever it takes to win the game.

This focus was so strong, that Kobe would not see or hear anything that couldn’t help him on the court. His ‘Mamba Mentality’ was so well-known that ESPN once actually compared him to a real Mamba, in a tale-of-the-tape style graphic.

Bryant is considered the greatest Los Angeles Laker of all time. He averaged 25.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists over 20 seasons with the Lakers.

Bryant played in LA for 20 years, winning 5 NBA championships, 2 Finals MVPs, and a regular-season MVP during his stint.

Aside from that, Bryant was an 18-time NBA All-Star, and was selected for 15 All-NBA Teams and 12 All-Defensive Teams, including 11 All-NBA First Team and 9 All-Defensive First Team selections.

Bryant will always be remembered as one of the best to ever do it.
