LeBron James seemingly picked up another foot injury during the Los Angeles Lakers’ impressive win over the Dallas Mavericks that saw the team overturn a 27-point lead for the much-needed win.

During the game, LeBron went crashing to the floor and was seen saying ‘I heard it pop’, referring to his foot. He stayed in the game and helped the Lakers close out the win with 26 points and 10 rebounds.

LeBron was spotted limping his way out of the American Airlines Center after the win, concerning some fans that want him to be healthy while antagonizing other fans that think he’s doing it for the cameras.

A fan said, “LeBron is putting his body on the line every game yet people think he doesn’t care”.

Another fan accused James of playing up his injuries for narrative purposes, “He was not walking like that when he was playing, sympathy card.”

A Lakers fan was confident LBJ would come back in time for their next game, “He’s going to put some icy hot on it and go drop 40 on Memphis.”

One of the funniest responses came when someone brought up LeBron’s ‘three rims’ moment from the 2021 play-in tournament, “Mr three rims at it again.”

Another fan complimented his fourth-quarter performance while injured, “And he still played and dropped 11 in the 4th”.

A Lakers fan defended LeBron from the unnecessary criticism of the injury, “Sad that he’s not allowed to be injured because people project their insecurities onto him.”

A fan also dismissed the hue and cry around the injury, saying it’s likely a small ankle injury and nothing serious, “He’ll be fine it’s just a small ankle injury.”

James recently missed time with a foot injury after he broke the all-time scoring record due to being overplayed by Darvin Ham in losses.

Lakers’ Playoff Push Looking Scary

The Lakers just picked up their third consecutive win and have catapulted themselves to the 11th seed in the Western Conference already. They can continue building off their recent purple patch in form and pick up victories to at least reach .500. The faster they do it, the more secure they’ll be heading into the final months of the season.

Since the Lakers traded Russell Westbrook away, they have looked like a far better team. Jarred Vanderbilt is proving he is the defensive stopper that LA needed all along while Malik Beasley’s shooting makes him impossible to leave open. D’Angelo Russell is hurt but provides nuanced playmaking and shot creation, all of this alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Fans will pray LeBron doesn’t miss any time right now, as the Lakers are still sitting with a 29-32 record.
