Lakers Get Trolled After Team Goes 0-6 In Preseason: “Y’all Couldn’t At Least Win One Game?”

To say expectations are high for the Lakers would be an understatement. Having LeBron James alone is enough to put serious pressure on a franchise, and when you pair him with Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook, things are bound to get intense.

Unfortunately, the Purple and Gold did not have a particularly encouraging preseason run, going 0-6 to finish completely winless.

Under most circumstances, fans would completely ignore the performance, as pre-season games are meaningless in the long run anyway.

For a team as hyped-up and talented as these Lakers, though, fans saw an opportunity to have some fun — and they took it. Folks went crazy on social media, making fun of the team and how bad the guys have looked overall.

It’s been quite a while since the Lakers earned a win, and that fact has clearly not been lost to some people. For the trolls and Lakers haters, it has been an amazing night overall.

Seriously, though, is something going on in Lakerland?

While things haven’t looked good for them, it’s important to remember that building chemistry takes time. Earlier this week, LeBron kindly reminded the world of that reality:

“It’s going to take a minute for us to become the team that we know we are going to be capable of being,” said James. “We’re going to have moments where we’re not quite right there. We may take steps backwards. But that’s all part of … I think nothing is worth having if it’s not worth working for.”

It’s also important to remember that this is only preseason. It’s a time for teams to test out schemes, adjust lineups, and get warmed up for the season to come.

It should hardly be used as a measure for how things will end.

Nevertheless, it’s clear L.A. has a lot of work to do if they hope to bring home another title. Now that the preseason is over, they need to get their act together fast or risk falling behind early on.
