Lamar Odom has high expectations for the Los Angeles Lakers this 2023 NBA Playoffs, and he’s made sure to hype up the team’s best player, LeBron James.

During a recent conversation, Odom referred to LeBron as the God of basketball while talking about the Lakers’ chances to win it all this campaign.

“God James. His name is God James. The god of basketball,” he said. “As long as we healthy, we’re gonna win a championship.”

This wasn’t the only interesting thing Odom said, as he also talked about former nemesis Tristan Thompson. Odom said he believes Tristan can help the Lakers win the championship this season after the big man joined the Purple and Gold ahead of the playoffs.

“He’s played with LeBron,” Odom told TMZ Sports. “He’s won a championship and L.A. is always the best place to play.”

It’s surprising to see Odom saying this, as he and Tristan were beefing over Khloe Kardashian not so long ago. Well, it seems like basketball can fix any beef there was between these two, or perhaps they are just focusing on the task at hand, which is winning the NBA championship.

The Lakers have a solid squad, but they won’t have an easy journey to the title. They first need to beat the No. 2 seed in the West, which won’t be easy by any means.

LeBron James Sends Message To Memphis Grizzlies Ahead Of Playoff Series

Still, their superstars are confident that anything can happen in the postseason. LeBron James and Anthony Davis aren’t worried about the seeding, and the King knows that the West is up for grabs right now.

The Lakers start their quest for the 2023 NBA championship this afternoon against Ja Morant and his Memphis Grizzlies. This series promises incredible games, and we can’t wait to see what these two teams will bring to the table while fighting for a spot in the Western Conference semifinals.
