LaMelo Ball Believes He Should Be In Charge Of NBA 2K Ratings: “2K Been Letting Us Down.”

2 Min Read

There seems to be a lot of controversy over NBA 2K ratings every season, with no one ever being completely satisfied. Of course, there is virtually no way for 2K to make everyone happy, but it seems as though some of their ratings are viewed as wildly inaccurate by fans.

It seems as though a point of controversy among Charlotte Hornets fans has been the rating of Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges, who is known as a ferocious dunker and a solid shooter. His NBA 2K22 rating will be a 78, which is a decrease from 2K21, where he was ranked as a 79. James Plowright of At The Hive broke down the various ways that Miles Bridges improved, and seemed aghast at the fact that his rating went downwards.

LaMelo Ball chimed into the discussion and claimed that 2K has been letting people down with their inaccurate ratings. Ball also offered a joking suggestion that he should be the one in charge of the 2K ratings. While it would certainly be fun to see LaMelo Ball decide the 2K ratings, it seems as though there definitely would be some bias involved.

There is no question that while 2K’s rankings are far from perfect, they do try and correct themselves over the year, adjusting player ratings according to performances. This regular season will be the perfect chance for the Charlotte Hornets to draw some attention to their squad. Last season, they made the play-in tournament, though they were eliminated by Domantas Sabonis and the Indiana Pacers. With the development of their young core and the addition of Kelly Oubre, it is possible that they can make some noise, and be a playoff team this season. If the team is having success, then the 2K ratings will likely increase for everyone.
