Things got feisty quickly in Wednesday’s game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns. In the first quarter of the contest, Grant Williams taunted Kevin Durant, which led to Jusuf Nurkic pushing him from behind. All three men received technical fouls, and Williams would later get ejected in the third quarter as well. Leaked audio has now shown what went down on the court between the three of them.

Durant: “Don’t walk over me, n****”

Williams: “Stop f*cking flopping”

Then, Nurkic calls Williams “too f*cking small.”

In the end, KD responds to a fan’s trash talk: “I got you 29,000 {points}”

Ever since that infamous playoff series between these two teams in 2022, there has been a lot of chippiness in Mavs-Suns games. Durant, Nurkic, and Williams weren’t even on these teams in 2022, but it doesn’t seem to matter. You can feel that tension in the air when the teams meet, and everyone on the court has seemingly bought into this rivalry.

The Suns Crushed The Mavericks Here

In that playoff series in 2022, it was the Mavericks who came out on top by blowing out the Suns in Game 7 in Phoenix. The roles were reversed here, with the Suns blowing out the Mavericks 132-109 in Dallas.

At first, it seemed like the Mavericks were on course for a comfortable win when they built a 16-point lead in the second quarter. At the end of the half, though, the lead had been cut down to just one point, and it would be all Phoenix from then on out.

The Suns won the third quarter 43-20, with Devin Booker outscoring the Mavericks in the period by himself, recording 22 points. He would finish the contest with 46 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals as the Suns improved to 26-18.

As for Durant, he didn’t have the best of games but still finished with 12 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks. Nurkic, meanwhile, had 8 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.

Luka Doncic Asked For A Suns Fan To be Ejected During The Game

Williams, who had 8 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist in the contest, wasn’t the only one who found himself in trouble during the game. Luka Doncic asked for a Suns fan to be ejected in the third quarter, as he was heckling the Slovenian all game.

Doncic tried to keep his cool through all of it but had enough when the fan yelled, “Luka, you’re tired! Get your a** on the treadmill!” and asked for him to be removed. On Thursday night, Doncic admitted he shouldn’t have asked for the fan to be ejected.

“I mean it was the whole game a little bit, but I was really frustrated,” Doncic said. “We were losing, I twisted my ankle in the first half. It was just a lot of emotions, but yeah, probably shouldn’t have done that. So, when I’m wrong I admit it, so probably shouldn’t have done that but it was just the whole game going on.”

It was good on his part to say that, but you get why he snapped at that moment considering the circumstances. Doncic was by far the best Maverick on the court that night too, as he finished with 34 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks. The 24-year-old has averaged 33.3 points per game in his last three outings but was unable to prevent the Mavericks from losing all of them and slipping to 24-20.
