LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have been under scrutiny ever since the NBA All-Star break. During All-Star weekend, LeBron James mentioned during a press interaction that he had not closed the door on potentially returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers, especially given the kind of players they have gotten since he left.

Since then, a barrage of reports came out about LeBron James and Klutch Sports, the agency he and Anthony Davis are signed to. The report mentioned that LeBron was unhappy with Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka for not making a move for John Wall during the trade deadline because he didn’t want to give up the Lakers’ 2027 draft pick.

The report came from Los Angeles Lakers reporter Bill Oram, who wrote about this in an article on The Athletic. However, LeBron James came out a few days later and denied ever saying it, and even said that Oram doesn’t like the Lakers so he publishes pieces that are negative toward the Lakers.

“It’s weird that you guys — well not you guys, whoever started this whole thing… Bill doesn’t like the Lakers, anyway. It’s always going to be a negative. Anytime Bill says anything about the Lakers it’s going to be negative. So, I hope no one in the Lakers faithful listens to Bill Oram. I hope not. He hasn’t said one great thing about the Lakers in so long.”

But it appears James has cleared the air with Bill Oram, as he revealed on Twitter. LeBron James took to Twitter to note that he had a conversation with Bill Oram, and the two sides had a better understanding now. He noted that sources made up the narrative Oram reported, and asked Laker Nation to not judge him for it as he is not a bad guy.

@billoram and I had a candid conversation after the game tonight and I know he has a job to do. I know what he wrote wasn’t truthful cause it never came from me. But I get it, SOURCES run this game. Nevertheless #LakerNation let him be cause he ain’t a bad guy. ✊

It appears LeBron James has buried the hatchet with Oram and does not want to draw this feud with the press out any further. But LeBron was clear in maintaining that he had not said anything to anyone with regards to Rob Pelinka and the Lakers front office about the situation.

LeBron will have more pressing concerns to deal with, as the Los Angeles Lakers put on yet another disappointing performance last night against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lakers were quite poor, and they need to improve quickly if they have any hope at all of salvaging their season.
