Even though he never suited up for Ohio State, LeBron James remains one of their bigger supporters around. James, an Ohio native, has been a fan of the team for a very long time and once stated that if he was to ever play college football, it would have definitely been for the Buckeyes. He did play football in high school and was pretty good at it too and who knows what he could have gone on to achieve on the gridiron if he chose that path for his career?

Considering his ties to the team, it was not a surprise to see LeBron take some time out and head to Columbus, Ohio, for their opening game of the new College Football season against Notre Dame. His son, Bronny James, tagged along as well and the two got a fantastic reception from the crowd who also had plenty of reasons to be happy about after the game.

LeBron James Was Hyped After Ohio State Beat Notre Dame

The Buckeyes emerged victorious with a 21-10 scoreline and they have made a good start to the new season as they look for a bounce-back campaign after their shortcomings in 2021. LeBron was hyped after the game as well as he took to Twitter to express his joy.

Ohio State failed to make it to the College Football Playoff for the first time since 2018 last season and they’ll look to build on this win here as they look to avoid an upset loss in Week 2 like the one they had last season. They should handily beat Arkansas State to get off to a 2-0 start, which would delight their fans.

James will be hoping he has plenty of reasons to be happy about when the new NBA season starts as well. It will be his 20th season in the NBA and while he is going strong despite his advanced age, the Lakers aren’t quite in great shape.

They have failed to trade away Russell Westbrook and their most significant acquisition of this offseason has been Patrick Beverley who arrived via trade recently. Beverley should help the Lakers on the defensive end, but that alone isn’t going to be enough to elevate them to the status of serious contenders in the Western Conference. Some more changes need to be made and the Lakers know that too, so we should expect some movement before the new campaign commences.

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
