LeBron James has had quite the season for the Los Angeles Lakers. He’s been putting up consistent numbers and crossed a slew of milestones along the way, but unfortunately for him, he’s the third-worst three-point shooter in the NBA right now.

A quick look at the stats suggests that James is shooting 30.6% from beyond the arc, two rungs below Orlando Magic’s Paolo Banchero and former Laker-turned-Clipper Russell Westbrook.

Here’s a quick look at the list of the top 10 worst three-point shooters in the league at the moment.

1. Paolo Banchero – 29.2%

2. Russell Westbrook – 30.1%

3. LeBron James – 30.6%

4. Jabari Smith Jr. – 30.7%

5. Ja Morant – 30.9%

6. Tre Mann – 31.7%

7. RJ Barrett – 31.8%

8. Kelly Oubre Jr. – 31.8%

9. Bennedict Mathurin – 31.9%

10. Dorian Finney-Smith – 32.4%

James has made 101 of his 330 attempts from downtown. The 38-year-old launched 99 shots from the three-point line in January (his most tries in a month this season) and drilled just 31 of them. Overall. James has made 34.4 percent of his threes in his career.

LeBron James’ 3-Point Shooting May Have Been Poor, But The Veteran Continues To Be On A Tear

While he may not be a sharpshooter, James’ production hasn’t seen a decline even if he’s battled injuries this season.

At the time of writing, the forward has played 49 games for the Lakers this season and is averaging 29.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists. Anthony Davis has played a game more and trails with 26.1 points while having 12.4 boards and 2.6 assists.

James is making up for those three-pointers with some high IQ plays and assists while also relying on his ability to drive his way to the rim and putting his athleticism to good use by making even the most difficult of shots for a two.

Those who may scoff at James’ three-point percentage this season would also do well to remember that he’s got the playoff switch that he puts to good effect. It remains to be seen if ‘The King’ fixes that stat by the end of the season.
