1 Min Read

In the midst of troublesome times for America, NBA superstars LeBron James is starting a new fight back home, where the tragic his friend’s sister took place in Akron, Ohio.

On Twitter, he sent out a heartbroken tweet, asking for locals in the area to help him find those responsible.

“AKRON OHIO!! My brother’s sister was murdered this past weekend in her home! My brother family need answers to why and by whom,” he tweeted. “My city I need y’all to go to work and find out who did this awful, shameful, disgusting thing to such a caring, loving angel! #Justice4EricaWeems.”

This isn’t the first time LeBron has demanded justice for lives needlessly lost. All throughout this year, James has stood with those who have protested the killing of unarmed black men/women by police.

And while this incident is obviously different (does not involve police), it’s still a tragic situation — and one LeBron and his camp will be enduring for a while.

Let’s hope justice gets brought to the killer and that the family of Erica Weems is able to find peace.
