LeBron James’ Reaction After Leading Lakers Back To Conference Finals: “It’s An Honor For Me To Wear The Purple And Gold.”

2 Min Read

In the aftermath of securing their first Conference Finals appearance since the Kobe Bryant era, the Los Angeles Lakers are proving why they were the West’s best team through the first months of the season.

LeBron James hasn’t lost a beat, Anthony Davis is dominating, and the supporting cast is finally hitting shots. In their two series so far (against Houston and Portland), the Lakers have only lost a total of 2 games.

Needless to say, the Purple and Gold are blazing a path to the title and, although the job is not yet finished, King James set aside some time to take it all in following tonight’s important victory.

“How does it feel to bring this franchise back to the stage, especially this year?

LeBron: Well, I mean, it’s the reason I wanted to be a part of this franchise — to take them back to a place they were accustomed to being, and that’s competing for a Championship. So, it’s an honor for me to wear the Purple and Gold and for us, we just try to continue the legacy and then just play great basketball for our fans back home.”
