LeBron James played a tumultuous season with the Los Angeles Lakers, missing the play-in tournament in one of the most disappointing campaigns for the Californian franchise. The King fought hard to carry his team to the playoffs, but injuries and inconsistency made things hard for him.

Even though the team wasn’t as good as expected, their superstar played at a high level, earning big honors at the end of the season. On Tuesday night, the NBA revealed the three All-NBA teams, and LeBron was included in one of them:

All-NBA First Team: Luka Doncic, Devin Booker, Jayson Tatum, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic

All-NBA Second Team: Steph Curry, Ja Morant, DeMar DeRozan, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid

All-NBA Third Team: Chris Paul, Trae Young, LeBron James, Pascal Siakam, Karl-Anthony Towns

As you can see, regardless of the Lakers’ bad season, LeBron was included on the All-NBA Third Team. Some people like Charles Barkley suggested that the King should have been swapped with Kevin Durant. Still, James is very proud of this honor and recently took to Twitter to celebrate.

He used four emojis to thank for collecting another honor in his career. This marked the 18th All-NBA Team selection for LeBron. He only missed these three teams once, which is an incredible feature.

It’s not like he had too much to celebrate since the Lakers missed the postseason and he also sent big messages after the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas

Bron keeps adding honors to his already impressive resume. He’s 37 years old and yet keeps thriving, being the only good thing the Lakers had to show this campaign. Hopefully, for the Purple and Gold, they can make the right moves this offseason to compete in the next campaign.

The team’s front office knows that LeBron isn’t getting any younger, and he’s already exceeding expectations. They must find the right cast to cash in on the King while he can still help them win.
