The Golden State Warriors looked to be headed toward a 4th straight defeat but Stephen Curry made sure it wasn’t going to happen.

The Warriors superstar erupted late in the fourth quarter and then in overtime against the Milwaukee Bucks to lead the Warriors to the win. LeBron James was clearly paying attention and reacted with the chef emoji.

“Chef” Curry was indeed cooking in the later stages of the game. The Warriors were trailing 108-100 with under two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter when Curry went off and scored 11 points in the rest of the period. That tied the game and Steph blocked Jrue Holiday’s potential game-winning layup to send the contest to overtime. Curry proceeded to then score 9 more points in the extra period to lead the Warriors to a 125-116 win.

Curry finished the night with a game-high 36 points to go with 6 rebounds and 4 assists. He got some help from Klay Thompson who had 22 points while Donte DiVincenzo had 20 points and 10 rebounds. The win improves their record to 35-33 and they keep the chasing pack for that 6th spot at bay for now.

The Warriors Continue Their Dominance At Home

With this win, the Warriors improved to 28-7 at home and they have now won their last 7 games at Chase Center. Getting a win there as a road team has proven to be extremely difficult and it will continue to be the case in the playoffs as well. This utter dominance at home is what makes their woes on the road that much more bewildering.

Just a few days earlier, the Warriors lost on the road to a Memphis Grizzlies team that was without Ja Morant, Steven Adams, and Brandon Clarke. It was their 8th straight loss away from home and those struggles on the road are why Stephen A. Smith thinks they won’t be able to defend their title. Kendrick Perkins also believes that the Warriors are done, but they have proven their doubters wrong quite a few times by now, so you won’t completely count them out just yet.
