The Los Angeles Lakers have been on and off in terms of winning games regularly this season. With the dynamic duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the starting five and Russell Westbrook coming off the bench, the Lakers are certainly a strong team on paper.

However, when it comes to actually performing on the court, the Los Angeles Lakers have failed to capitalize on the potential of the team. Fortunately, there have been times when the Lakers have looked in great form, and the team’s most recent matchup against the Indiana Pacers was the most recent example of it.

Anthony Davis was the star of the show with 31 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 steal. Davis’ performance yet again proved how amazing of a player he is when he is healthy.

Anthony Davis Gets Huge Praise From LeBron James

When Anthony Davis was injured, the Lakers certainly missed the presence of a dominant big on the floor. But with his return back to the roster, the Purple and Gold have at least solved that problem for a while. It is evident from the fact that LeBron James heaped huge praise on Davis after the close win against the Pacers.

LeBron on AD: "He's a Defensive Player of the Year player every night. Our confidence is extremely high when we know we have AD on the back line."

LeBron on AD: “He’s a Defensive Player of the Year player every night. Our confidence is extremely high when we know we have AD on the back line.”

The bond between LeBron James and Anthony Davis is special and it is something that the Lakers need for the rest of the season. As AD himself explained, the Purple and Gold want to secure a playoff spot and avoid the play-in tournament.

As of now, the Lakers still have an underwhelming 25-28 record in the Western Conference and hold the 12th spot on the table. On a positive note, the Lakers are on a 2-game winning streak and will hope to only add more wins to their current winning streak in the coming days.
