• LeBron James has sent a decisive message to his fans and doubters

• The Lakers’ forward will turn 39 this season as he plays in his 21st year in the NBA

• He made it clear that he doesn’t get tired and will not decline like many people are expecting him to

LeBron James is hard at work to ensure his body is ready for the 2023-24 season, as LeBron aims to bring home another championship while entering his 21st season in the NBA. His decline doesn’t worry him, as James shared a training video where he made it clear to everyone that he still doesn’t get tired.

“Don’t mean nothing. Tired is only in the mind. You tell yourself you’re tired, you’re gonna be tired. I don’t get tired.”

Only five players in NBA history have played in Year 21 before. None of them managed to average even 10.0 points in Year 21, with most retiring after. James can tick off more historical individual accomplishments on the court this season.

James ended last regular season with an average of 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists, showing he isn’t even close to the end of his career. He also shattered various records throughout the season for someone in Year 20, proving he’s truly one-of-a-kind.

Can LeBron James Lead The Lakers To A Title?

The fact that LeBron isn’t just a positive rotational player but still one of the top 10 players in the league is mind-blowing. But top 10 players need to establish their place by competing for titles.

The depth around James is the best it has been in his Lakers tenure, as there are multi-positional players that can all soak minutes when players are injured while maintaining a consistent system from day one to the end of the season. Winning the 2024 NBA championship may end up becoming the best accomplishment of LeBron’s career if he can pull it off.

James should embrace his role as a primary playmaker and find his 2020 self once again. With proficient off-ball scorers on the roster, LeBron could let his IQ and defensive instincts be crucial. He can’t win anything alone, so Anthony Davis‘ health status and on-court consistency will be crucial in making sure LeBron isn’t tired by December of the 2023-24 season.
