LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant are the only three NBA stars on the list of the top 10 highest-paid athletes in the world across sports in 2023.

The trio made the cut in Forbes’ list of athletes who raked in the moolah. James was fourth on the list, while Curry and Durant were placed eighth and tenth, respectively.

Here’s a quick look at the list of athletes who made the cut:

Cristiano Ronaldo – $136M

Lionel Messi – $130M

Kylian Mbappé – $120M

LeBron James – $119.5M

Canelo Álvarez – $110M

Dustin Johnson – $107M

Phil Mickelson – $106M

Stephen Curry – $100.4M

Roger Federer – $95.1M

Durant makes the list of the top 10 on the back of his lifetime deal with Nike. Only Michael Jordan and LeBron James are the two NBA stars with lifetime contracts with the sports giant.

All Eyes Will Be On LeBron James, Stephen Curry, And Kevin Durant In The Ongoing NBA 2023 Playoffs

On the season front, the focus will be on these three NBA superstars as they look to lead their respective teams to an NBA championship.

All three have made it past the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. While the Lakers vs. Warriors will square off on Tuesday in the Game of the second-round skirmish that sees James take on Curry.

Meanwhile, Durant and the Suns have had a rather rough run trailing the Denver Nuggets 0-2. Only time will tell if he can make a resounding comeback to keep Phoenix’s title aspirations alive.

The trio has surely been the league’s bonafide superstars, and their off-the-court investments, along with their earnings from the sport, put them in an entirely different league. Whether they will vault over the athletes from other sports remains to be seen.
