With LeBron James tearing the league up at nearly 40 years old, he has changed the GOAT debate forever. Now, when you talk about MJ, Wilt, or even Kareem as the greatest, you have to mention James as well for his longevity and personal accomplishments in the NBA.

But the recent play of Stephen Curry has some fans re-considering his place on the All-Time hierarchy. Besides his ridiculous impact on the court, the way he has changed the game elevates his career to a whole different level, and Clippers swingman Paul George admitted as much on his podcast this week.

“He’s got sh*t on his resume that he can add to that GOAT conversation,” said PG. “He’ll go down as the best shooter in league history. Nobody is catching his three-pointers made. You’re a GOAT to me if the league changed because of you. With Steph, the threes being shot, the range people shooting threes, Steph transcended the game.”

Steph’s resume matches up with some of the best players ever. As a 2x MVP, 4x champion, and 9x All-Star, Curry is already one of the top 15 players in league history. Another title this year with the Warriors might be enough to put him in the top five for many fans and experts.

But when it comes to Curry, it’s not just his accolades that make his career so impressive. Due to his mastery of long-distance shooting, his rise to stardom literally changed the game itself and how it’s being played today.

Can Steph Beat LeBron In The Playoffs Again?

In the second round, the Dubs are facing their biggest test yet in LeBron James and his revamped Lakers team. In their first playoff clash since 2018, everyone is itching to see how this series will pan out between the Lakers and Warriors.

Needless to say, if Steph is able to take down the King and return to the West Finals, it will be another thing to add t his case as the GOAT.

In Game 1 tonight, the Warriors will be looking to send a message that they are serious about defending their status as champions of the NBA.
