P. J. Tucker is an NBA champion and one of the most loved role players in the league. As much as he is known for his veteran savvy and elite play though, he is majorly known for being a big sneakerhead.

Tucker always has access to the most exclusive shoes that are released, sometimes even before the players whose lines they are. And LeBron James once trolled him for his obsession with shoes, revealing that Tucker changes his shoes four times during games.

“How you gonna deal with a guy who’s gonna switch his shoes every quarter,” LeBron said. “He’ll wear those in the first quarter, these in the second quarter, Forces in the third quarter. Listen, he’ll wear wedges in the 4th quarter. He got on flip flops in the 4th quarter.”

LeBron James was clearly having fun trolling Tucker, based on his comments about him wearing wedge heels and flip-flops. But it is fair to say that no one in the NBA has a shoe game quite like Tucker does. He once wore shoes worth $50,000 in the NBA Finals, the man is on a different level to everyone else.

PJ Tucker Revealed His Most Prized Sneakers From His Collection

A lot of basketball shoes have become a part of culture, and as such, fetch high prices when they are sold and re-sold. Speaking about his collection once, Tucker revealed what his most prized possessions are when it comes to sneakers

“My signed Jordan ’94 1s and ’85 1s, easy because Michael Jordan is the greatest ever and my favorite player ever and all that stuff. And my Kanye Yeezy 2 Cheetahs.”

Signed Michael Jordan shoes are hard to find for even the most committed sneakerheads with all the money in the world. The shoes that he wore during games have sold for millions of dollars at auctions. The fact that Tucker has a signed pair goes to show how serious he is about all this.

The NBA is about so much more than basketball, fashion has become a big part of what draws fans to the league. And shoes are the epitome of that. Whenever he finally retires from the league, Tucker will still be copping the latest shoes like the rest of the NBA fandom.
