LeBron James is heavily involved in business outside of playing in the NBA, his investments are varied and he has a stake in several different businesses. His tequila brand Lobos is currently in direct competition with Michael Jordan’s Cincoro brand and is an excellent example of how diverse James’ portfolio truly is.

LeBron is also a minority owner in one of the biggest soccer clubs in the world, Liverpool FC. The club is owned by the Fenway Sports Group, and LeBron has a stake in it as well. As such, he is constantly supporting the team on social media in their endeavors, and it’s been a great look for him in recent seasons, with Liverpool enjoying great success in the realm of soccer.

On Tuesday night, they qualified for the final of the UEFA Champions League, the biggest soccer club competition in the world, for the 3rd time in 5 seasons. This was a monumental achievement, which they completed by beating the Spanish team, Villareal. The final is set to take place in Paris, and LeBron excitedly tweeted about it after his team secured the win.

Liverpool is also sponsored by Nike, and LeBron James has been instrumental in helping promote their brand worldwide. The partnership has been mutually beneficial as well, with LFC’s value growing significantly since James bought in, thanks to the aforementioned success they have enjoyed in the past few seasons.

While James might not be able to enjoy team success in the NBA this year thanks to the Los Angeles Lakers crashing and burning in the regular season, Liverpool has provided the opportunity for him to taste success as an owner. They have already won one major trophy, and are in contention to win three more, something that would be an unprecedented and historic achievement.
