Unfortunately, this season has not been smooth sailing for the Lakeshow, who have been wildly inconsistent over the past few months.

Following their most recent loss to the Bulls on Sunday night, which marks their second straight, fans flooded social media to troll the team for falling short once again.

For the Bulls, DeMar DeRozan was the hero of the night, which is ironic considering he almost became a Laker in the summer.

“They were great, honestly. Tried to make it work, had plenty of conversations with Bron. Tried to make it work. It just didn’t work. You know how the business goes. One thing can just change the whole dynamic on everything.

But, it was a hell of an opportunity that we tried to make happen. Me bring from LA would’ve been crazy, but some things just don’t work out. It’s always great just to have the opportunity,” DeRozan told Shams Charania.

In 34 minutes, he dropped 38 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds per game on 45.8% shooting. The Bulls are now 18-10, just 2 games back from the top spot in the East.

In Los Angeles, the Lakers are still trying to get on the right track after a rough start. LeBron James has been in and out of the lineup all season long while Anthony Davis continues to struggle to find his groove.

It hasn’t been pretty so far, but here is still hope they can turn things around. If they get healthy, tweak the roster, and re-discover their spark, there is no telling how far they can go.
