No one has ever denied the greatness of LeBron James in the NBA. In his 20-year-old long career, LeBron has already accomplished a lot, and he still has no plans to retire anytime soon.

Despite that, there have always been people who have spoken against LeBron James. His former teammate Mario Chalmers recently did so when he claimed that no one feared James in a way that players were afraid of Michael Jordan. In a conversation with NBA analyst Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson, Chalmers offered clarification on his previous comments.

“I’m very grateful for winning a ring, I have no problem with LeBron & I’m speaking from a perspective from people in @thebig3 who played against MJ and from what others have said about LeBron. I don’t see how it’s sucka s**t when you’re speaking on somebody’s feeling on someone else’s perspective. Going more into depth of my statement, you come into a Finals situation. Are you more fearful to face LeBron James or Michael Jordan? MJ is 6-0 in the Finals, and LeBron has 4 rings. When I say players didn’t fear LeBron, LeBron has been beaten, MJ has not. When LeBron first came to the Heat, people saw him as a villain. But when you line up next to him, you’re actually fearful of him because he’s trying to prove people wrong.”

Winning rings in the NBA is ultimately the biggest accomplishment for NBA players. When we compare LeBron James and Michael Jordan in the NBA Finals, Jordan reigns supreme and comes out as a better performer than LeBron.

Keeping that in mind, it’s understandable why Chalmers believes that players were actually afraid of facing Jordan not only in the NBA Finals but also in the regular season.

Mario Chalmers Was Called Out By Tristan Thompson For His Comments About LeBron James

Since Chalmers made that bold claim against LeBron James, many have called the former NBA player out. LeBron’s former Cavaliers teammate, Tristan Thompson, is among them as well.

In a recent appearance on the Draymond Green Show, Thompson slammed Chalmers for his claims about James.

“Guys be on some sucker s**t. I don’t like that kind of stuff,” Thompson said. “Guys are retired and not playing basketball, now you want to talk s**t about a guy that you won a championship with? Mario Chalmers, at one point, you were probably texting LeBron to get on a team for a job.”

Thompson didn’t hold back when destroying Chalmers for his call-out against LeBron James.

At the end of the day, Chalmers has every right to think about what he wants regarding James. Even though he and James used to be teammates at one point, that doesn’t mean he is not allowed to express his opinion on the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.
