JJ Redick really stirred the pot around the NBA community with his comments on Wednesday, making a bold claim about the Sacramento Kings vs. Golden State Warriors series.
After Redick shared his opinion on the first two games of the series, another former player-turned-analyst, Matt Barnes, replied to the former sharpshooter, bringing up the numbers to defend the Kings.
“[JJ Redick,] tighten up
Game 1 Fouls called on the Warriors 25. Fouls called on the kings 23.
Game 2 Fouls called on the Warriors 26. Fouls called on the Kings 25
Kings have just wanted it more in these first two games. This series is far from over tho.”
@jj_redick tighten up 🙄😂
Game 1 Fouls called on the warriors 25. Fouls called on the kings 23.
Game 2 Fouls called on the warriors 26. Fouls called on the kings 25

Barnes also engaged in a series of exchanges with some fans who criticized his take. First, telling somebody that the Kings are the reason why they’re winning the series, not the referees.
The kings are the reason they’re up 2-0 not the refs

Then, he told somebody to stop crying, as they kept bringing up the officials.
Man quit cryin

Barnes won his first and only NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors and has nothing but good memories from his time there. However, he’s trying to state facts there, even though a lot of people didn’t want any of that.
Kendrick Perkins Calls Out Redick For His Comments
JJ Redick received big backlash over his comments, and Kendrick Perkins, whom he’s been beefing with recently, took this opportunity to diss the former sharpshooter.
“This Biggest bunch of BS I’ve heard all week. Real Talk,” Perkins wrote on Twitter.
There’s no love between these two, that’s clear, and Perkins will always take his chance to attack Redick. It’s good to see that former players are taking over talk shows to express their opinions on NBA-related matters, but sometimes things get a little out of control.
Redick became a favorite of the public thanks to his takes, but a lot of people disagreed with him on this one. Of course, that will always happen, but he’s learning now that the community can be savage when they don’t like something.
