The Miami Heat are always looking for ways to improve. Even with two All-Stars already on the roster, this year is no exception.
Before the NBA’s hiatus, the Heat were 4th in the West with a 41-24 record. While their hopes of a long playoff run are high, they may already have plans to call in some reinforcements this offseason. According to Shams Charania on the “Load Management” podcast, they’re looking at two players specifically: Giannis Antetokounmpo and Victor Oladipo.

Miami might just be one more piece away from being Championship favorites and even acquiring one of those two players could be enough to have them dominant for years to come.
Of course, the biggest prize of the offseason will be Antetokounmpo. At just 25-years-old, the Greek Freak has blossomed into a bonafide superstar with 4 All-Star appearances, 3 All-NBA team selections, and an MVP. He has averaged 20 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 4,3 assists on 52% shooting for his career.
As for Oladipo, while he may be the smaller acquisition of the two, his scoring might prove ultra-valuable to the Heat, who have been the NBA’s top three-point shooting team (percentage-wise) this season.
Regardless of which they acquire, Miami should be feared by their competitors. They have already built a strong and versatile roster and they’ve got plans to add even more to their arsenal. Seriously, does Pat Riley ever take a day off?
