Montrezl Harrell On Luka Doncic Controversy: “Still I Get Messages From People Telling Me They Glad My Grandmother Died And I’m A N—er… Etc”

2 Min Read

Los Angeles Clippers’ big man Montrezl Harrell has revealed he’s getting expletive messages after his controversy with Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks. During Game 3 of their first-round series, Harrell and Doncic had a little scuffle after the Slovenian told the power forward/center to stop flopping. Following that play, Harrell called Doncic ‘b*tch a** white boy’ after a putback dunk.

That didn’t sit well with anybody in the league and Harrell knew it. He apologized to Doncic ahead of Game 4 and everything seemed to be part of the past. However, some people haven’t gotten over it, as Harrell recently revealed.

Trezz took to Twitter to call out journalist and film writer John Ziegler for a tweet taking shots at Doc Rivers, Harrell’s head coach. Basketball analyst Kim Adams agreed with Harrell, which is when the player revealed all the messages he receives after his altercation with Doncic.

With all the things happening in the US, none of these comments are helpful. Harrell had to learn that the hard way and now things have gotten out of control. He apologized and Luka accepted his apology, but people don’t think that’s enough for Harrell and now they need to make him pay using shameful things. This is not what basketball is about but some just don’t understand.

Harrell will return to the court on Sunday when his Clips will try to finish the job against the Dallas Mavericks. So far, he is averaging 10.0 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in the series.
