  • Stephen Curry would be broken by the ‘Bad Boys’ Detroit Pistons, according to Charles Barkley
  • One of the NBA fans listed the weight of other PG’s in the 80s and compared it to Curry’s
  • Stephen Curry has been putting in the work in the weight room packing more muscle

In an attempt to prove Charles Barkley’s statement that the ‘Bad Boys’ Detroit Pistons would break Stephen Curry had the latter played in that era, one NBA fan highlighted the key factors that would prove Barkley wrong.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one of the fans listed out the weight of some of the point guards in the 80s and also added Curry’s to show that he was no pushover and could withstand the physicality of the Pistons’ players.

At the time of writing, Curry weighs an estimated 195 lbs at 6’2″ and while his height is regarded as a rather shorter one for a guard, the sharpshooter has defied critics and has carved a niche for himself as one of the lethal shooters in the NBA.

And compared to all the PG’s listed by the fan, Curry comes off as stronger, and his recent deadlift workout that went viral serves as testimony to what he can do to withstand and administer pain.

Quite simply, the bruisers the ‘Bad Boys’ may be, Curry has the musculature and the strength to survive that onslaught.

Stephen Curry’s Weight Room Workouts Are Legendary

Stephen Curry’s workouts are proof that he is a tough cookie. Vouching for this is his teammate Draymond Green, who on Podcast P with Paul George spoke about Curry’s training.

“I think the change that I’ve watched him make as far as the weight room goes over the last three years or so,” Green said. “It speaks to his work ethic and who he is because if Steph doesn’t get stronger post-2020, he’s still shooting the p**s out the ball, but him getting as strong as he’s got has actually changed his game – it’s actually made him much more effective.”

And on his part, Curry has already warned the other teams in the league that the Warriors will come out with a hunter’s mindset in the upcoming season. Given his lean and strong frame and the immense skills on the floor, it’s not hard to imagine Curry decimating his opponents.
