USA Basketball

For years, USA basketball has been the epitome of the sport. With a total of 15 Gold Medals (along with one silver two bronze medals), Team USA is like the unbeatable giant of the basketball Olympics.

So when the team suffered their second-straight exhibition loss on Monday, it came as a huge shock to the entire community.

The Twitter world was ablaze with reactions, from memes to major disappointment…

With how dominant we’re accustomed to seeing Team USA, this is obviously not the result anybody was expecting.

While these first two games were only exhibition matches, it’s an alarming wake-up call that all might not be well.

Besides the roster being void of some signature, high-profile names (like LeBron, Steph, and Carmelo Anthony), Jayson Tatum pointed out a lack of chemistry as one of the biggest problems:

“I don’t know the exact answer (on when we’ll be able to gel). It’s only been four days and we’re making strides. None of us have ever played with each other. So, we’re just trying to figure it out. We know we don’t have three or four weeks or whatever it may be.

Whatever is the issue with Team USA, they don’t have much more time to figure it out.

The real games start soon, and nobody is going to take it easy on them…
