Kyrie Irving isn’t shy about voicing his opinion on every matter. The Brooklyn Nets point guard has a strong stance on almost everything in life and he doesn’t hesitate to share it with the world regardless of who can feel offended by it.
Besides his flat-earth take, his refusal to take the covid-19 vaccine, and all the things that have earned him criticism over the past couple of years, Kyrie is now adding another controversial opinion to this list. The veteran playmaker recently took to Twitter to ask people why he’s paying to live on earth.
Irving stated that mother earth is for everybody and people shouldn’t be paying to live in the place that belongs to each one of us. Irving needs some answers on this and took to Twitter to see if he could find them, or just to vent.
I thought Mother Earth belonged to the people. Why am I paying to live here? 🤷🏾♂️
Oh let me guess, “because that’s just how things are”.
Lol FOH

Being the person that he is, as polarizing as he is, Kyrie would get answers from fans and some of them were ruthless with the player. Others showed their support, but the vast majority just blasted the 2016 NBA champion for his take.
Come to the Knicks so u can get the money that’s necessary to live here

When you’re Kyrie Irving, whatever you say will be controversial. There are so many people waiting to see what he says or does to use it against him, trying to troll the man and ridicule him.
Irving is pretty confident in himself. He’s not afraid of speaking up on things that not many would address, and that can work or not for him. Still, he won’t stop doing it because of some people on the internet. He’s somebody that will raise eyebrows when he speaks, and that will make him speak louder.
Meanwhile, he’s getting ready to face another NBA season. A lot has been said about his future with the Nets, but it looks like he’s staying at Barclays Center.
