The Milwaukee Bucks arrived at TD Garden with not so many expectations around them, but this team gets inspired when they face adversity, which is exactly what happened today. The defending NBA champions landed in Boston ready to shock the world and they did, completing a big win over the Celtics that looked like the biggest favorites to take Game 1 and the series altogether.

Giannis Antetokounmpo didn’t have the best game offensively speaking, but he affected the game in different ways, helping his squad secure a big win that gives the Bucks the home-court advantage now.

The Bucks easily defeated the Celtics 101-89, behind Antetokounmpo’s good performances, confirming he’s one of the best, if not the best player in the world right now. The Greek Freak recorded 24 points, 13 rebounds, 12 assists, and 2 blocks.

After the game was over, NBA fans reacted to the Bucks’ clinic, blasting the Celtics for missing a big chance to take the lead of the series, even more after showing a great level against Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and the Brooklyn Nets in the prior round.

Even Brad Stevens left the game earlier after the Bucks took a big advantage on the scoreboard, giving up on his team that looked nothing like the dominant squad that swept the Brooklynites.

Well, things have changed for the Greens, as expected, since the Bucks are a much better team than the Nets. Mike Budenholzer has made his squad a terrific one and even with the absence of Khris Middleton for this series, the Bucks are playing at the best level.

Jrue Holiday (25 points and 10 rebounds) took care of the ball in the last minutes of the game, going to the free-throw line more than once, making the Celtics pay for their mistakes. Milwaukee keeps showing their great level, and after easily beating the Chicago Bulls in five games, they’re ready to do the same against the Celtics. Of course, that’s unlikely to happen, but this first game exposed the Celtics’ flaw that we couldn’t see against the Nets.
