2 Min Read

The New York Knicks have won their first playoff game since 2013, and it seems as though the Knicks’ faithful will celebrate it, even though the series against the Atlanta Hawks isn’t yet over. Despite the ongoing competition against the Hawks, this achievement is something special for die-hard New York fans.

Fans from all overreacted to the New York Knicks win behind Derrick Rose’s amazing performance. There is no doubt that this looks to be a competitive series, but for now it looks like Knicks fans will take a simple playoff win. Baby steps until the franchise reach a championship.

It is insane to think about how much craziness there would be within Knicks fandom if the team got to the second round. With this win, their chances of doing that are just that much higher. The Knicks will now head to Atlanta, where they will try to win an away game. Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks aren’t easy opponents, and they have shown that they can win against these Knicks already. The New York Knicks do have home-court advantage, so if the series does go to Game 7, they will have the crowd on their side. Hopefully, this remains a competitive series.
