The 2022-23 NBA season is very important for the Los Angeles Lakers. After winning the NBA championship in 2020, the iconic franchise fell off big time. They have had back-to-back unsuccessful seasons.

In one season, they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, and in their most recent season, they missed the postseason entirely. As a result, Lakers fans are expecting a huge comeback from the Purple and Gold.

But considering the competition in the Western Conference, it is easier said than done for the Lakers. On top of that, the Lakers haven’t had as successful offseason as they would have liked.

Yes, they have signed many role players, but the Lakers still have the major issue of making sure that their trio of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook play together for the majority of the season.

Obviously, injuries are something that is out of control for any franchise. Even if we take that out of the equation, the Lakers do not look as good as compared to their competition.

Regardless, the current Lakers roster looks better than what they had last season. But is that really the case? We will find out when the season begins.

The above-mentioned tweet showcases the current roster of the Lakers. As expected, the fans of the franchise still aren’t happy with the current team. Here’s how NBA fans reacted to it:

Most fans still believe this roster of the Los Angeles Lakers is barely a play-in team in the crowded Western Conference, let alone make a deep playoff run.

However, if there is something that most fans unanimously agree on is that if AD and LBJ stay healthy, the Lakers could really have a decent season. But if the Lakers want to have a deep playoff run, they will need a miraculous season from their superstars.
