LeBron James just turned 38 recently and despite his advancing years, remains one of the best players in the NBA. By this age and earning the salary LeBron does, players would be considered negative assets, but every team in the league would still want the King on their roster. And with the way the Lakers’ season has been going, there are rumors that he could be available.

LeBron James recently shared his frustrations with the Lakers’ front office, although he did seem to walk them back after a winning stretch for the team. The Lakers are 19-22 heading into their next game against the Dallas Mavericks and even though things have looked better recently, they could easily find themselves 4 games below .500 with a loss. James has already been linked with a trade to Miami, where he won two of his championships, and now Heavy’s Sean Deveney has suggested another package.

“A package of Herro, Robinson and, if the Lakers need sweetener, a first-round pick or forward Nikola Jovic might be the best the Lakers could do for James.”

Tyler Herro is the reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year and has a lot of potential upsides, so he would have to be included in any deal. But Duncan Robinson is widely considered to be on one of the league’s worst contracts and Nikola Jovic is a project. This package doesn’t seem enough for James, and many fans seem to agree.

NBA Fans Don’t Think The Suggested Miami Heat Package For LeBron James Works

LeBron James is still making history in the NBA, and fans can’t believe the level he has been playing at. So obviously, a package like this isn’t pleasing to too many, as they made clear in their comments on social media.

“No, thanks.”

“That might get you LeBron’s left foot.”

“Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”

“That’s an almost insulting offer.”

“Lol the Lakers would hang up on Pat Riley.”

“Stop I might throw up.”

“So this is nonsense.”

“There’s no way this would ever work.”

“Who even comes up with these.”

“Idk if I’d even give them rejuvenated Russ for this offer.”

“This is unserious.”

“Duncan Robinson? Yeah, stop it.”

The Miami Heat would be instant favorites if they managed to land LeBron James without giving up Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler. But there is also no way the Lakers would do a deal like that, at least not without a lot more picks being on offer. LeBron James is simply too valuable and any team wanting him will have to give up quite a bit.
