The Golden State Warriors were having a rough Wednesday night when they were losing to the Indiana Pacers in a game that they needed to win. However, the day is so much worse now knowing that Stephen Curry might have hurt his shoulder trying to keep Golden State in this game.

The team has rallied without Curry on the floor, who checked out of the game with his shoulder injury while at 38 points. Fans are worried about Curry and the Warriors given the slow start the team has had and the incredible form of Steph.

This injury doesn’t look like a major one, right now. Hopefully, no bad news comes out of the Warriors’ medical center about Curry’s health. A long absence for him right now might be too big a hill for this team to overcome.

Can The Golden State Warriors Compete Without Stephen Curry?

The worry for the Warriors this season has been their inconsistency without Steph on the court. While Jordan Poole is a great stylistic replacement, he hasn’t shown the consistent proficiency that we know Curry can provide. Poole is also not the greatest shooter in NBA history, so it isn’t a fair comparison, to begin with.

Hopefully, this absence isn’t a very long one and Steph can return soon. He is playing some of the best basketball of his career and this is an unnecessary derailment for the reigning Finals MVP.

Curry has said he doesn’t feel like he’s slowing down and is often compared to the best in the game still like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic. If he’s on the court, the Warriors are playoff locks. Without him, it’s going to be a bit harder.
