Stephen Curry is hard at work trying to win another NBA Championship this season, the fourth in his career. While Steph is known to be an assassin on the basketball court, he takes his responsibilities as a father off the court extremely seriously. Steph’s daughter Riley used to be a regular fixture of Steph’s post-game interviews a couple of years ago.

It seems a new Curry kid is emerging to take the place of Riley as the adorable child that everyone will make a big deal of. Steph and Ayesha’s son, Canon Curry, is already proving to be quite the hooper.

Ayesha Curry shared a video of Canon imitating his father’s two-handed dribble routine on her Instagram story. For a 3-year-old, that handle is tighter than a lot of adults.

Steph has spoken about Canon before and it seems the youngest Curry has an interest in basketball. The last time Canon was discussed, Steph let everyone know that his son does not want shooting tips from him. The rest of the world would love to get shooting tips from the great Steph Curry, but Canon is already confident he has got it in him naturally.

This clip shows the kid is aware of what his father does on the court, as he imitated his dad’s dribble routine almost perfectly. If he has the dexterity to continue that dribble at the age of 3, it is only a matter of time before he starts crossing people over.

Children born into the world of basketball often try to emulate their parents and follow in their footsteps. Sometimes, the footsteps may be too big. But it looks like Canon has a good 10 years before he needs to start worrying about that.
