Bleacher Report

At this point, it’s no secret that Bradley Beal and Jayson Tatum are long-time childhood friends. After growing up together, the pair apparently remain close to this day, even now as they practice for Team USA.

Curiously, some recent words by Bradley Beal seem to suggest that he really enjoys playing with his friend, leading to some rumors that he may be open to playing with the Celtics sometime soon:

“Even from growing up, we’ve never been on the same team, ever. In pick-up, we’re never on the same team. This is definitely exciting for both of us. I’m definitely happy about his growth and excited to see him on the global stage as well as myself and everybody. We have a really good team but Jayson and I have a special relationship and I’m looking forward to it.”

After another early playoff exit, the Celtics are in a state of flux right now. With Danny Ainge gone, and Brad Stevens in his place, the organization has already seen a shift in their front office.

Who says they won’t be open to making changes to the roster as well? As a sharpshooter and elite scorer, Beal is a guy who can make an immediate impact in Boston, and it’s clear he has some ties to the organization.

Nonetheless, it remains to be seen where Beal will be playing next season, and if the Celtics will try and make a move for his services this summer.
