For most of the season, the Boston Celtics have been the NBA’s hottest team. Before their trip to Orlando on Friday, they were 22-7 with the best point differential in the NBA.

But over the past few weeks, the Cs have shown some vulnerabilities of late, losing games they would have won early on, including a pair of back-to-back games against the lowly Orlando Magic.

Everybody had the Celtics getting easy wins this weekend, including former player Eddie House, but that’s not what happened at all. Instead, the Cs lost both games and were held to just 92 points on Sunday.

Speaking after the loss, star swingman Jaylen Brown got real on the recent struggles and seemed unphased by his 40% shooting from the field.

“You thought we was gonna shoot lights out the whole season? Sh*t, I wish. It never goes like that…I missed a lot of shots that I know I can fucking make…But that’s why you love the game, every game has its own story.”

It should be noted that the Celtics were without Jayson Tatum for the second game, so maybe things would have gone differently had he suited up tonight.

Are The Celtics Still The Best Team In The East?

The Cs have cooled off a lot since their scorching hot run, but there is no question they are still the team to beat right now. Besides having, arguably, the best duo in the league in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, they have a ton of depth that allows them to torch opponents in many different ways.

“This is a team that has been to the Conf Finals 4 of the last 6 years,” said Warriors coach Steve Kerr. “They’ve been knocking on the door for a while now and this is definitely their best team and they are by far the best team in the NBA right now.”

The Celtics have been tagged as the title favorites by various fans and experts across the association, and it makes a lot of sense. Despite their recent slide, they are a tough team to handle, and they will be a challenge for any team to beat in a 7-game series.

For now, though, the team is just looking to get back on track after being humbled in Florida this weekend.
