The Los Angeles Clippers are going to be without Kawhi Leonard next season, but their moves all have suggested that they will try to be competitive next season with Paul George as the lead superstar.
One of the moves they made was acquiring Eric Bledsoe from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Patrick Beverley, Rajon Rondo, and Daniel Oturu. Being on the Clippers could be a really good opportunity for Bledsoe, and he could be yet another veteran who rejuvenates his career in Los Angeles, similar to Reggie Jackson and Nicolas Batum.
Portland Trail Blazers star CJ McCollum has recently praised Eric Bledsoe on an episode of his Pull Up podcast and stated that Bledsoe is "Mini LeBron" while praising his ability to run an offense. While Eric Bledsoe has had a very up and down season with the New Orleans Pelicans,
I’m a big fan of Eric Bledsoe. He’s like mini LeBron. Super athletic, explosive, can lead a team, can run a team. Has had some great years of basketball, especially with the Phoenix Suns. Most notably has played well with the Bucks and other teams... with them re-signing Reggie Jackson I felt like they had to get off of Patrick Beverley... I like the Bledsoe move personally, I think he's a good defender, he's aggressive he's athletic, he's explosive. I'm not sure who will start between Bledsoe and Reggie Jackson, but any event I like both of those guards.
While Eric Bledsoe is definitely not on LeBron James' level, he can definitely be a stable contributor for the Los Angeles Clippers. The Los Angeles Clippers could definitely use more scoring with Kawhi Leonard out, and Bledsoe is amazing at doing that at the rim. Hopefully, the move pays off for the Los Angeles Clippers, and perhaps they can surprise everyone that's counting them out.
