Damian Lillard Hilariously Reacts To Kyrie Irving’s ‘Dame Time’ Celebration

1 Min Read

Damian Lillard didn’t earn the nickname “Dame Time” for no reason. Throughout his NBA career, the guy has been one of basketball’s most clutch players, and he has a long history of heroics to prove it.

Perhaps the biggest representation of that signature moment comes in the form of the classic “wrist tap” that Lillard has helped make so darn cool.

And while it’s rare to see anyone but Dame bring out that move on the court, Kyrie Irving was caught busting out the celebration in one of his recent games, to which Lillard responded with a hilarious post on Twitter:

A bit of background: “Dragonfly Jones” is a fictional, near toothless man who is apparently inspired by Jamaican pop singer Carl Douglas. It’s really a sight to behold for those who haven’t seen it. Lillard is, clearly, a fan.

But as for the resemblance between him and Irving, there really isn’t any. Obviously, it’s meant as a lighthearted joke and innocent roast by Dame, so it’s really not that serious.

But it just goes to show that if you steal Dame’s signature move, you’re at risk of being flamed by the Portland star himself.
