Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic had a fierce matchup on Sunday afternoon when the Dallas Mavericks and the Milwaukee Bucks faced off. The Mavs came out with a 118-112 win against the fully healthy Bucks, as Doncic had 32 points and 15 assists in the performance.

Giannis is in contention to win his third league MVP award and a win over the Mavericks and Luka would have done wonders for his case. Instead, it is Luka who is solidifying his spot on All-NBA First Team, as the Mavericks continue to push on the Golden State Warriors for the 3 seed in the West.

After the game, Giannis spoke about the tough loss and was extremely complimentary of the 23-year-old Doncic, who he believes has all-time talent.

“He’s just very talented and a very good player. You know he is gonna make the right pass, he’s gonna make the pass to the roller, the skip pass to the corner, good decision. Sometimes he can do everything right. He’s one of the most talented players in the league and probably one of the most talented players to ever play this game. He is going to have good nights and there are nights where we have to contain him as much as possible, but we tried to make it as tough for him.”

Doncic is looking to lock up a third First Team All-NBA selection this season, with this just being his fourth season in the league. His talent for his age is incredible and we have seen very few players operate at Doncic’s level at this age.

While he may be one of the most talented players to ever play, Luka needs to capitalize on those talents and become a perennial championship contender for people to unanimously agree that he was one of the greatest when it comes time for Doncic to look back at his career. Right now, everyone is looking forward and the future is looking bright.
