No matter how better he gets, all the records he sets and breaks, or how accomplished his career is, Giannis Antetokounmpo stays humble. Even after making one of the best plays in NBA Finals history, the Milwaukee Bucks superstar remains focused, trying to reach that ultimate goal.

The NBA world went crazy after he blocked Deandre Ayton with less than 1.30 minutes on the clock. The Greek Freak showed up when his team most needed him, making a big defensive play that helped his squad secured Game 4 of the Finals.

Contrary to the rest of the world, Giannis didn’t see a replay of that moment until yesterday. The 2x NBA MVP found the way to leave a big message while addressing that memorable block.

“When I focus on my past that’s my ego…when I focus on my future that’s my pride,” Antetokounmpo told reporters.

He elaborated more: “When I focus on my past that’s my ego…when I focus on my future that’s my pride.”

This man always finds a way to surprise NBA fans, either it’s on the court with big plays or making jokes when he’s not playing. He’s one of the nicest guys out there, which is why plenty of people are rooting for him to win.

The job is not done yet, but Giannis is focused on that. He’ll have a big chance to take a 3-2 lead tonight when the Bucks visit the Phoenix Suns for Game 5.
