Luka Doncic is one of the best young players in the league today, and there’s no doubt that he has shown that he has the potential to be one of the top superstars in the league for years to come. He had a very productive year with the Dallas Mavericks, averaging 28.4 PPG, 9.1 RPG, and 8.7 APG during the regular season. Doncic also brought the Dallas Mavericks to the Western Conference Finals in the postseason.

There is no doubt that Luka Doncic is a supremely talented player, despite his lack of elite athleticism. He has an elite knowledge of the game and is also an elite shot creator, and it is obvious that his ability and production suggest that he could dominate the league in the future.

Goran Dragic Thinks Luka Doncic Could Become The Best Player In History

Luka Doncic has not only dazzled in the NBA, but he has excelled on the international stage as well. He is currently competing in the EuroBasket with Slovenia, recently leading his team to a win against Belgium.

After Slovenia’s game against Belgium, guard Goran Dragic offered some high praise for Luka Doncic. He suggested that Luka Doncic could end up being the GOAT, claiming that he “could be the best ever” by the time his career ends. An article on BasketNews.com relayed the news.

“He is only 23 years old and he is playing like a veteran. He could score even 40 points in every game,” added Dragic.

“He plays the game at his rhythm, he is very big, he can shoot, he can pass, he can rebound. I don’t know what else we can say about Luka, he is like… an astronaut,” Dragic described Doncic’s game.

“I think he could be [the best player in history]. He is still very young, but if he stays healthy and plays a long more time, I think that by the end of his career he could be the best ever,” added Dragic.

Currently, Michael Jordan and LeBron James are two players that are most commonly mentioned in the GOAT debate. It is hard for anyone to match what those two players have accomplished, but Luka Doncic will likely have a stellar career in his own right based on what we’ve seen thus far.

Obviously, this statement about Luka Doncic from Goran Dragic will be considered a bold prediction, but it is clear that the veteran guard believes in his teammate. Luka Doncic does have the makings of an all-time great, and we’ll see how far he is able to go.
