Kevin Durant’s Reaction To Claim That LeBron James Is The GOAT: ‘That’s Crazy. Michael Jordan Is The Greatest Player Of All Time.’

2 Min Read

The GOAT conversation is likely a debate that will never end. Whether it’s Wilt, Kareem, Michael, or LeBron James, people will always have differing opinions on who deserves to be called basketball’s All-Time greatest player.

Nowadays, though, the topic has become an all-out war between LeBron James and Michael Jordan, with advocates on both sides convinced their guy is the one.

Kevin Durant recently chimed in on the whole and, unfortunately for James and his supporters, he someone else. In the video by “Cool Kicks,” you can make out Durant’s response “Michael Jordan” when the topic comes up.

While many, and probably most, of the NBA community agrees with Mr. Durant, one could make the case that he’s got a personal bias on the subject.

Having played against LeBron for years, we’d be lying if we said there wasn’t tension between the two stars. Durant’s quest to eclipse James as basketball’s best player has been a years-long journey — and it has yet to end. When he played for the Thunder, it was James who was winning Championships. When Durant went to Golden State, it was LeBron who stood in his way in the Finals.

KD is a champion himself now and even as he looks from the outside in on the bubble games, there aren’t many people out there more qualified to talk ball than him. And it’s yet another person who is resisting James’ claim to the throne.
