Klay Thompson sent a big message to Memphis Grizzlies’ players after the Golden State Warriors demonstrated that they aren’t done and when nobody believes in them, they will bounce back stronger than ever.

Without Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins, Klay stepped up, helping Jordan Poole, who scored 32 points, beat the Grizzlies in an electrifying Christmas Day matchup. Following the match, many fans clowned the Grizzlies for underestimating the Dubs and the rest of the West.

However, they weren’t the only ones making fun of the Grizzlies, as Klay decided to make it clear that to become a dynasty, you have to win, and the Grizzlies are yet to do so in the NBA. While Steve Kerr and Draymond Green dismiss a rivalry here, the Warriors show that they do some extra stuff when they see the Grizzlies.

Klay Thompson Humbles Memphis Grizzlies With Comment About A Dynasty

Following the entertaining 123-109 victory for the Warriors, Klay had some things to get off his chest, telling the Grizzlies that if they want to talk, they must win a championship before.

“They were talking about dynasty and all of that. You can’t talk dynasty when you haven’t won before … I thought that was premature talk. I don’t think people realize how hard that is. The commitment, the sacrifice, the faith. You gotta sacrifice your body. I thought that was premature talk… They bring the best out of us and I think they do the same, and if you don’t like them, you gotta respect them because they’re a threat.”

Klay knows very well how hard it is to become an NBA champion, and the Warriors have done that four times in the last eight years. Thompson is aiming to win more before he retires, but things could get all complicated for the Warriors.

They’re not at the best level right now, and even though this win makes fans think that they’re close to reaching their best level, the Dubs still have work to do to compete with the top teams in the West.
