This offseason has seen many huge moves, one of which was Kyle Lowry joining the Miami Heat to bolster the Heat’s chances of competing in the Eastern Conference. Lowry spent nine years of his career with the Toronto Raptors and even won an NBA championship.
Now, it’s time for the veteran point guard to turn the next chapter in his career and maybe win another ring before he retires. Even before Lowry joined the Heat, the franchise was finally doing well for the first time in a long time. After the Big 3 of the Heat separated, the team went to rebuilding, and it was a successful process.
They made it to the 2020 NBA Finals against all odds and gave a tough competition to the Lakers, thanks to a series of insane performances by Jimmy Butler.
For the 2021-22 NBA season, Heat fans will be excited to see the Butler-Lowry duo in action. As for Lowry, he recently revealed why Butler is a bit different from his previous teammates like Kawhi Leonard and DeMar DeRozan.
“Lowry says Butler is “different, in that he’s a little bit more crazy. He wears his emotion on his sleeve. Whereas the other 2 I played with, Demar and Kawhi, they are a little more quiet.”

Jimmy Butler is not your usual leader of a team. He is hard on his teammates to help them to strive for better results. But at the end of the day, he produces results, and that’s why his teammates love him.
On the other hand, Kawhi and DeMar are on the quieter side of the spectrum. Leonard in particular is not that expressive, yet he won a championship with the Raptors.
DeMar’s nature is similar to that of Kawhi. He did spend a lot of years with the Raptors but failed to win an NBA championship.
Lowry has already played with DeRozan & Leonard and now will try his luck with Butler. If he can win a title with him, it will certainly cement his legacy in the NBA. After all, he believes it is a championship or bust season for the organization.
