There are many ways to become a great offensive superstar in the NBA. But having a deep skill bag with plenty of tricks up the sleeves to get the better of your opponents in a 1-on-1 situation is undoubtedly one of the most pleasant things to watch for NBA fans.

The Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving is certainly someone who has that skill set. Throughout his career, Kyrie has used his dribbling skills to win several 1-on-1 situations against his opponents.

Evidently, he is considered one of the best 1-on-1 players in the NBA right now. But as per Klay Thompson’s father, Mychal Thompson, Kyrie is the best 1-on-1 player in the history of the NBA, even better than Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

Mychal Thompson Snubs Michael Jordan And Kobe Bryant To Make A Huge Claim About Kyrie Irving

Being a former NBA player himself, Mychal Thompson certainly has great knowledge about the league. Even when he revealed his list of the top 5 NBA players of all time, many respected his opinion.

But his most recent claim about Kyrie Irving being a better 1-on-1 player than Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant is certainly debatable.

Mychal Thompson says @KyrieIrving is 'the best one-on-one player' he has ever seen. 👀

“This sounds crazy to say because you think about all the great ones before him and in the league now, but he is the best 1-on-1 player I have ever seen. Michael Jordan, Kobe, Steph Curry they all are great, but this guy, no one handles the ball like him in history. And then he has the moves to go along with it. And then he can shoot from the outside. And then he can finish at the rim better than any guard that finishes below the rim in history. How he scores over these big guys I can’t figure it out.”

Thompson had nothing but praise for Kyrie Irving. He listed out Irving’s phenomenal skills, which made him the greatest 1-on-1 player of all time. But is Irving really better than the likes of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant? That’s certainly a huge claim.
