Kyrie Irving On The Nets: “Time Is Not On Our Side Again, But I Feel Confident In Our Group…”

Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets have recently lost to the Atlanta Hawks, which means that they are now the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference. This is definitely a suboptimal position to be in when the team was projected to be a championship contender at the start of the season. Unfortunately, a number of reasons have landed them in the play-in tier of the Eastern Conferences.

Despite their recent losses to the Milwaukee Bucks and the Atlanta Hawks, it seems as though Kyrie Irving remains confident in his squad. He did however admit that time is “not on our side”, suggesting that there’s an urgency to win games. Hopefully, we see the team improve, and quickly.

Kyrie Irving: "Time is not on our side again, but I feel confident in our group that we'll be able to do what we do."

“Time is not on our side again, but I feel confident in our group that we’ll be able to do what we do.”

It would definitely be unfortunate if the Brooklyn Nets were to miss the playoffs. While it seems unlikely that could happen as of right now, that is a possibility. With the lethal duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving leading the team, the Brooklyn Nets should be able to get through the Eastern Conference play-in tournament. Both players are proven performers in this league and have plenty of playoff experience between the two of them to make a deep playoff run.

There has been some speculation about the Brooklyn Nets potentially winning their first-round matchup if they were to advance past the play-in tournament after this regular season. With the talent on their roster, it’s entirely possible, though they’d have to face a difficult matchup in the first round regardless of who they face. Perhaps we’ll end up seeing that happen, but as of now, the Brooklyn Nets simply need to win regular-season games to improve their seeding and make their pathway to a deep playoff run easier.
