The Brooklyn Nets seem to have a knack for getting themselves amidst a controversy this season. The franchise currently has one of the best teams in the league, at least on paper. After all, the superstar trio of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden is more than enough to destroy any team.

Moreover, the Nets were proving everyone right in the first half of the season. They held the number one seed in the East at a point, but have dropped down to the 7th spot on the table.

The reasons for their recent poor form can be connected to several things. For starters, Kevin Durant has been sidelined due to injury and Kyrie is only available as a part-time player for the organization.

Considering these points, Harden was once again left alone to help the team win. Unfortunately, he couldn’t produce the same results as he used to do with the Houston Rockets.

The situation is so bad that it is rumored that James Harden might get traded before the trade deadline. Well, that is what the word is in the rumor mill, but if we are to believe Irving that isn’t the case at all.

After the Nets’ recent defeat, Irving was asked about what the future has in store for his teammate James Harden. Kyrie seemed to dismiss all the rumors as he revealed:

“I think James can speak better to that than I can. How all those kind of media plants start going around with rumors and stuff like that, I really do not concern myself with that. The few conversations that we’ve had, he’s been really committed and we just hold him to his word.

In a smart way, Irving gave an answer that should make Brooklyn Nets fans happy. Apart from Irving, it was earlier reported that Kevin Durant also wants Harden to stay.

Nets fans will hope that the Beard will hear to his two superstar teammates. If the trio stays intact and gets back to winning ways, the sky is the limit for the Nets.
